Whenever someone asks me what my favorite food is, I am always either confused on what to pick or end up going for the popular option of rice, which is far from what I would call my favorite food, I don't think I have explored the entirety of food enough for me to have a favorite.
Asides having a favorite food, there's always this food or more that we can never get enough of, for me it's akara(bean cake). Frankly, there's nothing special about it but it's something I never really get the chance to eat and this isn't just because I can't make it ,I mean I could always buy it but it never comes to mind.
It might seem weird that I chose to talk about akara, but it's all related or is it? Two days ago, my mom and I traveled back home and on the course of the journey,we got akara and bread to eat, nothing special right, wrong.
For me ,it was everything, even as we were both uncomfortably seated in the vehicle and I was slowly realizing that my fan girling for akara was just stupid or maybe that particular akara was mid,I could still feel the joy radiating from us as we chewed silently on our akara sandwich.
Other passengers bought the akara just like we did, but one of the highlights of this particular purchase was the man who sat by my left, dude came with this huge loaf of bread, like he knew we were going to come across an akara seller and all I could think of was that "bro came prepared".
This bus ride was quite different from the one before, I have probably told half of the people I know about it, I was even going to write a news story about it,which I haven't done ,I am still looking for motivation. This experience was both comedic and scary at the same time, long story short, someone was found with drugs on our bus, crazy right, who would have thought. I was just on my own-
Anyways, this is a summary of what went down.
The motive behind this post,I really don't know but one thing I know is y'all should cherish the times spent with your loved ones because I have witnessed some things that are just sad and now I realize that we all have to be careful because no one knows tomorrow, I mean imagine getting into an accident and the so-called sympathizers end up stealing your phone, like how heartless can you be.
Ehmm, anyways this is not bye but see you soon 👀, y'all should stay safe.
I remember first semester in uni, I went Akara hunting with a friend. We had no cash and begged the woman to accept transfer 😂
Do you like your akara with visible onions and pepper?
